The notes move forward and lights turn on when the user produces the correct note. If the user fails, there is no light and the progression stops. The shapes multiply in accordance with the length of the note. When there are multiple notes to be played at once, they are displayed adjacently in their respective colours  Different songs can be uploaded into the device to be used for further practice. Using this method, it is no longer necessary to learn how to read musical notation (for beginners at least) and it is possible to form different associations.

Synes was designed by a group. Members are Yıldız Yazgılı, Cansu Peköz, Mert KütükoÄŸlu, Koray CemalioÄŸlu and R.Martinez. (2012)
